In terms of prices decline for all kinds of raw materials, prices for manganese ore and ferroalloys tend to bottom. In this regard understanding of world’s largest suppliers’ profitability and their work strategies is one of the most important issues of the industry. Herewith, unlike other raw materials, ferroalloys quotations on the world market are decreasing not so fast that leads to its costs share increasing in steel production cost structure.

A high level of competition predetermines markets structure changes, both global and regional ones, where commodity players crosscut. Outlook for metallurgical industry perspectives in major world’s regions will determine the points of demand growth and the hottest competition.

In 2015 CIS market is characterized by trade flows change. Russian producers concentrate increasingly on domestic supplies driving out import. In Ukraine bulk alloys share of import decreases even more rapidly but alloys producers focused on continuation of expansion to the neighboring countries markets. Herewith, an extremely high risk of Russian market total closure remains for Ukrainian manganese alloys supplies in case of anti-dumping duty introduction in Russia.

How steel producers will reduce production expenditures? Who will be able to offer the lowest price for ferroalloys? Where will Chinese metallurgy go and how it will affect the prices for manganese ore? Will be CIS producers able to displace import more and to increase supplies abroad, steadying production decline? What advantages will be on Russian, Ukrainian, Kazakhstan and Georgian producers’ sides?

II International CIS Ferroalloys Markets Conference will allow you to get the answers on these and many other questions, to discuss challenges and prospects of CIS, Europe and global ferroalloys markets, to meet key players and to learn experts’ opinions.
